“Construction Legal stepped into what seemed an impossible task when the Owners first engaged them. It was almost Christmas shutdown, and we were unhappy with how our previous law firm had managed our complex Supreme Court litigation. Despite most of the construction industry slowing down for a year-end break, Jessica made herself immediately available and gave no nonsense, strategic advice to get the case back on track with a clear plan. Her team worked tirelessly with four experts and managed to meet the Court’s deadline and file the evidence we needed to protect us. The Owners are truly grateful for the team’s passion and determination in making this happen. Their in-depth knowledge of construction law, coupled with clear, practical, and commercial advice meant we for the first time in our legal claim felt confident in the advice and level of support we were given. I would have no hesitation in recommending Construction Legal to other owners corporations.”

Experts in advising Owners Corporations and Strata companies on property maintenance and defect disputes
Construction Legal has been supporting Owners Corporations and Strata companies for a decade in all areas including providing strata advice, representing owners corporations and lot owners in legal proceedings, providing guidance on dealing with building defects in common property and lot property, advising on cladding obligations, fire safety obligations and general maintenance.
We provide practical and commercial advice that aims to resolve issues quickly without the need for drawn out legal disputes. In circumstances where disputes are required to progress though the NCAT or Court system, our record speaks for itself in obtaining favourable outcomes for our clients. We work closely with reputable building experts and quantity surveyors to ensure that common property defects are properly documented for the rectification process.
Our principal solicitor, Jessica Rippon, has also been a strong advocate for change in building laws to provide increased protection against substandard building work for consumers living in multi-storey developments. Most recently, Jessica was appointed as the voice of the Owners Corporation Network on the Ministerial Panel for building reform which resulted in the introduction of Decennial Liability Insurance in NSW.
